The prolific Montreal duo of veteran electronic producer David Kristian and ingenue vocalist Marie Davidson (Les Momies de Palerme) return to Fur Trade as DKMD a year after their acclaimed debut EP introduced their late-disco/proto-technoid mantra. OTOS of OTOS sees the pair flexing out their their love of synth music in three different directions, all dear to the group's aesthetic. The sought-after sci-fi epic "Androide (Replique)", which has thus far only been available as a soundtrack to a short video, appears here for its long overdue proper release. Meanwhile, "Taxi Cab (Inst)" showcases the cosmic disco underpinning the stellar B-side of their debut, with a greater emphasis on dancefloor hypnosis. The EP caps off with "Punctuality", a heavily textured ambient soundscape that pits Davidson's unique violin against Kristian's organic sinewaves.
